Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) are seeking to appoint skilled and high-quality teachers of music across all disciplines to work as part of our large and diverse team. We would especially welcome applications from candidates who teach guitar, keyboard and vocal and we would also welcome applications from multi-discipline teachers.

As a member of NMPAT staff, you will:
- Be an effective teacher who can maintain high standards of teaching and learning in Whole Class Instrumental Tuition (WCIT), small group and individual lesson settings.
- Always keep student safeguarding and well-being as a priority.
- Deliver engaging and motivational lessons with appropriate content.
- Prepare students for assessment as appropriate, such as Internal Awards, national exam boards, public examinations etc.
- Demonstrate effective time-keeping, lesson planning, record keeping and complete administrative duties efficiently.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with all stakeholders: pupils, parents, schools, colleagues and line managers.
- Be supportive of the wider organisation and schools by actively promoting engagement in ensemble activities including NMPAT Saturday Centres and County Groups.
- Be a positive addition to the teams of which you are a part: schools, centres, instrumental discipline, and the wider NMPAT and Music Education Hub community.
- Demonstrate the ability to be an enthusiastic and effective learner, maintaining personal instrumental skills and developing understanding of repertoire and pedagogy through engagement with CPD.
- Share knowledge and support colleagues; collaborate and seek to learn.
- Maintain a knowledge of NMPAT policies and procedures and model the behaviours set out in the NMPAT code of conduct.
- Be able to take on other duties as appropriate.
We are looking for a versatile guitar teacher who can inspire students within a range of styles. Successful candidates will be confident with up-to-date methods of teaching classical, acoustic and electric styles of guitar and confident demonstrating these skills. Candidates should be confident teaching students individually and in group settings as the work will span across our schools and Centres.
We are looking for a keyboard/ piano teacher who is comfortable teaching both individuals and small group and who would be willing to get involved in wider opportunities such as keyboard workshops, recitals, holiday courses and teach in our Saturday Centres.
We currently have an opening for a year-long part-time maternity cover. This will include individual and group tuition and potentially the direction of one of our County choirs. Whilst the timing of the ensembles is fixed there is flexibility around both the scheduling of the school and Kettering Road based vocal teaching . There may be scope to build on this appointment beyond maternity cover. The capacity to deliver other teaching on other instruments would also be welcomed.
- Up to £30.15 per hour (£25,932 – £41,829 p.a. FTE), dependent on qualifications and experience

Trustee
Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) is seeking supporters with a background in finance, to join the Board of Trustees.
Successful candidates will have a background in finance, able to support and challenge the Executive, over the financial management and health of the organisation. They will need to be committed to supporting an educational charity to provide opportunities for thousands of young musicians and performing artists.

As lead partner of the Northamptonshire and Rutland Music Hub, the charity works with almost every school in the two counties.
