"All children should have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument"
12th May 2021
We are delighted to hear that Step 3 of the Road to Recovery has been confirmed to commence on 17th May. There are small changes in the guidance for Out of School Settings and the Performing Arts Sector which will allow us to begin to hold some bigger rehearsals in our halls. We will still be employing 2m distancing but bubbles will no longer be limited to 15 students in the larger spaces. For some groups we will be revising the rehearsal structure from Monday 17th May.
We can also confirm that we will now be able to hold our planned Summer Festival of Music at Derngate on 3rd & 4th July. Our intention is that all of the groups will be able to get together and play as a whole group to put together some of the music rehearsed during this year. We hope that families, friends and supporters may be able to be present to watch this. We will share further details as soon as we have them.
To keep Kettering Road Music and Arts Centre COVID secure, we will be maintaining our one-way system and ask all visitors to wear masks in the corridors. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any waiting areas for parents.
We look forward to continuing to welcome you to Kettering Road or see you in school.
