About the County Clarinet Choir
The director for the 2018 to 2019 season is Andy Kirkwood.
The Clarinet Choir has a full range of instruments from Eb clarinet to Bb contra bass and programme the very best of repertoire for the ensemble.
For 23 years the ensemble was under the direction of clarinet teacher, John Sharp, who established them as a nationally recognised ensemble with many appearances at the Music for Youth National Festival. Since 2010 the group has been under new leadership, but the intention remains the same: to perform at the highest level on the national stage. Their annual programme includes a series of concerts around the county and regular appearances at the Music for Youth Regional Festival.
