When to pay

Please note that we do not issue routine invoices. Fees and subscriptions are due at the first lesson or rehearsal at the beginning of each payment period.

Late payment of fees and subscriptions will carry a £20 administration charge. Any subsequent follow up reminders sent to you will be treated as an invoice and incur an additional administration charge of £20.

How to pay

To help reduce costs, our preferred method of payment is online through ParentPay. We are also able to accept the following payments:
  • Credit or debit card – for payments over £10 only.
  • Cheque – made payable to NMPAT please.
  • Cash – please do not post cash and ensure you obtain a receipt.
  • Standing order – for annual fees over £350, paid over 9 months (applications must be received by the last day of September and will incur an administration fee of £20 for set up and each subsequent change). For standing order applications, please contact the NMPAT office.

County Groups and individual lessons

New members of auditioned groups will be emailed login details within a few days of receiving your audition results.
You can also use this facility to pay for county group residential courses, concert tickets and tours. If you are also member of a Regional Centre, please let us know and this can be added to your ParentPay account.

Regional centres and other activities

At our ParentPay shop you can pay membership subscriptions for regional centres and fees for other NMPAT activities including ABRSM and Trinity College London exams, NMPAT Community Choir, Play and Stay residential music courses etc.

How to pay for lessons in schools where NMPAT operates a Direct Billing Scheme

Some schools have asked us to operate a Direct Billing Scheme which means that payment for lessons is made by parents directly to NMPAT.

  • Payment to NMPAT is via our online system at iPresto where your card payment will be processed by WorldPay.
  • Fees are payable in advance of each 11 week payment period. If you need to discuss potential arrangements for payment terms, please contact us.
  • Terms & Conditions between NMPAT and parents of children receiving music lessons billed directly by NMPAT
  • Refund Policy: In the event of wishing to discontinue lessons at the end of a payment period (Autumn, Spring, Summer), you agree to give a minimum of five weeks’ notice in writing to NMPAT. You also agree that no refund of fees will be due to you for notice given within term.

Gift Aid

As a registered charity NMPAT is able to benefit from Gift Aid on subscriptions for County Ensembles and Regional Centres. For parents agreeing to this, we can reclaim Gift Aid relief on subscriptions for County Group and Regional Centre membership.

We will have asked you to do this at the time of registration in September, but if you did not sign a form, you can complete a form and return it to the Music Trust Office. Please note that the person signing the Gift Aid declaration needs to be the person who makes the payments for the subscriptions.

If at any time you cease to be a UK Taxpayer, change your name or address, or no longer wish to participate in the scheme, please contact the Trust Office.
