Music Exams

NMPAT hosts music exams delivered by the world’s two leading providers of graded music exams: ABRSM and Trinity College London.  Each term, hundreds of candidates are examined by visiting specialists from these two National Partners.  You will find more information on each of these exam boards via the links on this page.

When your child is ready to take their exam, you will receive a letter from your child’s NMPAT teacher, detailing the grade to be taken, the cost and the entry process.  Your teacher will be happy to discuss this with you should you need further information.

The difference between entering through NMPAT as opposed to entering directly with the exam boards is that we arrange the timetables and provide an accompanist, if required.  Once you have completed our online entry form, we enter all candidates in a block booking and the exam boards invoice NMPAT directly.
