At Guilsborough Music and Performing Arts Centre we aim to provide the opportunity for students from the ages of 4 to 16 to make music, sing, dance and ‘get dramatic’. It doesn’t matter if they have never played an instrument, have only just started, or have been playing for years; we have activities to suit all ages and abilities.
For the very young, we have an early years music and dance session, a mini drama group and “theory is fun”.If you have not started to learn an instrument at school yet, we can offer choirs, dance, drama, steel pans and group tuition in guitar, drums and ukulele.
Students who already play an instrument have many different options including Guilsborough Rock School, jazz and wind bands and string and brass groups, plus theory, composition and exam preparation.
If you would just like to come and see what we do, you would be most welcome to come for a free taster session. Just turn up and someone will be able to show you what there is to see.
Under normal circumstances we meet at:

7th April 2021
We can confirm that the Kettering Road Music and Arts Centre will reopen to visitors, subject to our COVID safe modifications, from Monday 12th April. Individual lessons can recommence and rehearsals for County Groups which continued online last term, will be able to start face-to-face.
Government advice for Out Of School Settings means that we will still be employing 2m distancing with bubbles limited to 15 students at a time, so there will still be an online element to our rehearsals. We will begin the planning process for each of the groups now and send you information about our intentions as soon as possible. For groups that were not rehearsing last term, please assume that these will not be restarting immediately, unless you hear differently from you group director.
To keep Kettering Road Music and Arts Centre COVID secure, we will be maintaining our one-way system and ask all visitors to wear masks in the corridors. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any waiting areas for parents.
We look forward to seeing all our students at Kettering Road or in school as soon as we are able.
