Welcome to the NMPAT Duston Centre. Our dedicated team of teachers run a rich and varied array of activities which cover music, drama and dance, as well as activities for ‘early years’ students. Our centre has a strong ‘community’ feel, with a parent led ‘friends’ group who help with the tuck shop and the general running of the centre.
A timetable of face-to-face activities will be made available once we have confirmation around resuming meetings at the Centre.
Activities include music, mime, song, ocarina, kazoo, recorder, ukulele and percussion.
We offer a large variety of music groups which include wind band, folk group, orchestra, jazz band, rock bands, ukulele, percussion, guitar classes, ‘grown up’ band, choir and much more. All standards are catered for, from the novice to the more experienced player.
We offer both dance and drama at the centre. No experience is required for these sessions which are called ‘street dance’ and ‘movement and drama’.
We offer a variety of activities for children who don’t yet play an instrument. These activities include drama, dance, choir, keyboard, percussion, music theory and ukulele.
If you would just like to come and see what we do, you would be most welcome to come for a taster session with no obligation to sign up. Just turn up and someone will be able to show you what there is to see.

27th February 2021
We welcome the news that all children will be returning to school from 8th March. We are already discussing with schools start dates for our return and look forward to seeing many of our pupils face to face as soon as possible.
Individual lessons out of school and County Groups are still restricted by the “stay at home” order, and much as we want to, we are unable to resume lessons or rehearsals at Kettering Road until the introduction of Step 2 of the Roadmap to end Lockdown. This will be Monday 12th April if all goes well.
In the meantime, our county rehearsals will continue on-line with their amended timetable and we will be delivering lessons on-line where it is possible. The NMPAT Virtual Centre is meeting on Saturdays and welcomes any new members or visitors who may like to join us. To register for the Spring Term as a new students please visit use the online form.
Thank you to everyone who has expressed sorrow and support at the loss of our colleague Jon Lloyd. The warmth of feeling towards Jon and his work for NMPAT has been a great support at this very difficult time.
