Brackley and Cheney Music and Performing Arts Centre is run by a team of enthusiastic and experienced teachers and provides an exciting selection of music, art and drama sessions.
A timetable of face-to-face activities will be made available once we have confirmation around resuming meetings at the Centre.
For our younger children who perhaps have not started to learn an instrument yet, we offer an introduction to music through the use of instruments such as the ukulele, recorder, glockenspiel and percussion, and also encourage the children to sing and take part in lots of fun music games.
Our other music groups for those who already play an instrument, include:
We cater for all abilities from the absolute beginner to the more advanced and we cover an extensive range of musical genres from Classical to Rock and Folk.
Our Art groups enable all children to explore many aspects of art using pastels, paint, pencils and collage, plus areas of craftwork.
Our Musical Theatre and Drama groups are a great place to build confidence, and give the children an insight into the technical elements of musical theatre and drama through activities, games and performance opportunities.
Every child is entitled to a no obligation taster session as this will give them a chance to experience the Centre before committing themselves. We therefore welcome you to come and see us any Saturday during term time, and one of our staff members will go through our timetable and show you around.
Under normal circumstances we meet at:

27th February 2021
We welcome the news that all children will be returning to school from 8th March. We are already discussing with schools start dates for our return and look forward to seeing many of our pupils face to face as soon as possible.
Individual lessons out of school and County Groups are still restricted by the “stay at home” order, and much as we want to, we are unable to resume lessons or rehearsals at Kettering Road until the introduction of Step 2 of the Roadmap to end Lockdown. This will be Monday 12th April if all goes well.
In the meantime, our county rehearsals will continue on-line with their amended timetable and we will be delivering lessons on-line where it is possible. The NMPAT Virtual Centre is meeting on Saturdays and welcomes any new members or visitors who may like to join us. To register for the Spring Term as a new students please visit use the online form.
Thank you to everyone who has expressed sorrow and support at the loss of our colleague Jon Lloyd. The warmth of feeling towards Jon and his work for NMPAT has been a great support at this very difficult time.
