Youth Theatre – Open Access

We’re back at NMPAT for Youth Theatre this academic year!

Welcome to all of our new members, and welcome back to those returning – it’s great to have you with us and we look forward to what will hopefully be a full year of uninterrupted activities.

It’s not too late to join us – you can register at any time using this online link: https://bit.ly/NMPATCentres

Once you’ve completed the online form, Nikki Taylor, Head of Youth Theatre, will be in touch with some more information ahead of your first session with us.

Students receiving small group or individual tuition with an NMPAT teacher, or students taking a “First Access follow on” project at their school are eligible to receive a fully subsidised first term of activities.

Families in financial need are encouraged to apply for remission of fees – please ask Nikki if you would like to apply.

Membership subscription of £80 per term is due at the start of each term. (A new term begins in September, January and April)

Autumn 2021

The drama team are excited to get back to a full afternoon of creating drama.  The first half term will be full of games that encourage participation and team working.  We will be improving our communication skills and creating characters with a range of dedicated skills workshops.

We will also be launching a script writing competition looking for new writing for our new scriptwriting festival, “From Page to Stage” that will take place in December.  The winning scripts will be performed by our Youth Theatre and Young Actors Company.

We are planning to run our sessions to nurture all that creativity that has been resting for the last few months.  We are also planning on having lots of fun, making friends and bringing the NMPAT building alive again!

Spring 2022

Our Spring and Summer terms will see students rehearsing for a performance at The Castle Theatre in Wellingborough in June 2022.

Our aim

  • Devised Drama
  • Musical Theatre: Vocal techniques and creative movement
