Young Performers

The Young Performers club runs throughout the morning and is split into three distinct sessions:

  • at 9am, children of reception age through to Year 3 can participate in musical activities followed by a dance session at 9:55am.

  • at 11:05am we offer a beginner ukulele class for children up to Year 4.

Musical theatre

We have a thriving musical theatre community with a class for children in Year 6 and above, and this is complemented by separate, age-specific, dance and drama classes.

Instrumental musicians

For our more traditional musicians we have a number of instrumental ensembles catering for a wide range of ability and experience. These include:

  • strings groups

  • wind bands

  • brass

  • woodwind beginner groups

  • folk/klezmer group

  • jazz group

  • keyboard classes

Rock school

For those budding rockers and future pop stars, our rock school runs throughout the morning, and there is also a beginner acoustic guitar class at 9:55am.

Performances

There are plenty of performance opportunities during the year including our Christmas concert and fayre, rock school showcase, Thrapston Charter Fair and our summer concert.

Come for a free taster session

If you would just like to come and see what we do, you would be most welcome to come for a free taster session. Just turn up and someone will be able to show you what there is to see. We look forward to welcoming you!
