About the training guitar ensemble

Lorna ParkerThe training guitar ensemble is one of two guitar ensembles of the Music and Performing Arts Trust and rehearses on Tuesday evenings in the Edmund Rubbra Hall at the Kettering Road Music and Arts Centre from 6pm to 7pm. The directors for the 2016 to 2017 season is Lorna Parker (pictured).

The county training guitar ensemble was formed to provide a first ensemble experience for students who might one day be members of the County Youth Guitar Ensemble. Their annual programme includes a series of concerts around the County including a Guitar Night for all county guitar groups and an appearance at the regional round of the National Festival of Music for Youth. In 2015 the combined Youth and Training Guitar Ensembles were invited to perform at the finals of the National Festival under the name Guitarlactica!
