About the Senior Girls' Choir

Conductor: MaryJane DixonThe County Senior Girls' Choir is one of the five choirs of the Music and Performing Arts Trust and rehearses on Wednesday evenings in Room 18 at the Kettering Road Music and Arts Centre from 6pm to 8pm. The conductor for the 2016 to 2017 season is Mary Jane Dixon (pictured).

The Senior Girls' Choir numbers around 40 voices and exists to explore the very best of choral music written for upper voices. There is a particular emphasis on developing more independence in part singing and developing a wider palette of choral colours. They have a fine reputation as a performing group and have toured abroad to appear in concert in France and Spain.

Their annual programme includes a series of concerts around the County and regular appearances at the regional round of the National Festival of Music for Youth.
