The Edna Newill Charitable Trust has made it possible to support some students moving into Higher Education to continue with their musical studies.
There is no specified amount awarded. Students are invited to demonstrate why they need financial support and what the money will be used for.
Applicants will have been individual lesson students or long-standing members of County Groups and have retained their membership until Y13 prior to entering Higher Education.
Applications should be made by completing an application form and submitting it to the Gordon Robinson Trust Treasurer as listed on the form. These will be forwarded to the Edna Newill Trustees. Please note that the application should be accompanied by written confirmation of a place at a University or College and must be received by the end of September for distribution during October in each academic year.
It is likely that 2017 will be the last year that awards from the Edna Newell Trust are available.
